Nitrous Oxide Sedation

If you have minor levels of anxiety or dental phobia, nitrous oxide may be the best solution to keep you at ease. This gaseous substance is inhaled through a nasal mask that the patient wears throughout treatment. Once the treatment is complete, we remove the sedative and you’ll quickly start to notice the effects wear off. This makes it an ideal solution for those who need to go back to work the same day of their treatment.

Oral Conscious Sedation

For those with moderate to severe levels of dental anxiety, oral conscious sedation is likely the most ideal option. This sedative is taken orally several hours before your treatment begins, which means that you’ll need to have a friend or family member drive you to and from our dental office. Keep in mind that regardless of the sedation you use, you’ll still be able to communicate with Dr. Ifraitekh during treatment. You’ll also need to allow several hours for the sedative to wear off completely.
